About Hailey Antonette

Welcome to my page! I’m so happy to have you here!

I’m a Lifestyle & Brand Photographer based in Socal but traveling is my jam! Having the chance to go anywhere and see new things and meet new people is not only a humbling experience but one I hold with so much gratitude. You will never find me saying no to new experiences! One thing about me is I always have a camera on me, I love bringing my Canon G7X mark III with me everywhere so no matter where I go there’s gonna be memories captured. If I so happen to not be taking pictures I’ll be at the beach or with my boyfriend, babies(my dog and cat) and/or my niece !

My story

My photography journey started quite some time ago, for as long as I can remember I’ve loved photographs and keeping every single one we had. I never believed in throwing any type of picture away no matter how old or how basic the picture was. I got an iPod when I was in middle school and that was it for me! I always needed more storage – more storage more photos! I received my very first camera my sophomore year of high school and that thing went everywhere with me. The pure joy feeling I had after a session when my friends would talk about how good they feel about themselves and how comfortable they felt in front of the camera. I wanted to make sure I left every session with everyone I worked with feeling that way.

Why I do what I do

Photography has given me the tools and motivation to look closely at the world, to pay attention, to engage, to see in order to understand, and so it has made my life richer. Some moments are laden with excitement and adrenaline. But beyond those fleeting encounters there is the steady work of seeing and making images that have value, that can do good. That is honorable work and the most fulfilling.

Photography takes us down new paths and expands our vision with enriching new experiences and stories that help us understand the world and all that’s in it. The artistic aspects of photography are what I first fell in love with: experimenting with subject, intention, style, technique and medium. With photojournalism, I love getting to know people and their worlds.

I am a very nostalgic person through and through, capturing photos that create a sense of nostalgia means Ive done my job and I did my job well. Seeing a photograph and being able to remember the exact moment, the smells, the way the air felt and all my emotions I had is an experience I want to create over and over again.
